Each archive record is assigned to one or more categories. A category is the primary type of record classification or its main subject(s).
Categories are structured like a tree, with many branches and levels. An archive record may be assigned to any branch and level of the tree, although most records will be found at the lowest level of each branch. A record may appear in more than one branch of the category tree if it has more than one main subject.
The picture gallery below contains those categories at the top of the category tree, displayed in alphabetical order of category name. Each of these categories represents a separate branch of the tree. Select a category from the picture gallery to drill down through that branch of the category tree and browse its sub categories and records. The number of records in each branch of the category tree is displayed next to the category name.
You can return back up a branch of the category tree or jump back to any level within the branch by following the breadcrumbs trail above the lists of records and sub categories.
